We live in a moment where the world feels unstable. Anxiety is rising, divisions are deepening, and it often seems like everything around us is shaking. Yet Scripture reminds us that God’s people are never released from their responsibilities simply because the times are difficult. Stewardship is not paused in turmoil — it is proven in turmoil.

This message explores what it means to faithfully steward what God has placed in our hands: our lives, our families, our communities, our witness, and the image of God in every person. Scripture consistently teaches that life is sacred because God created it, and that His people are called to defend the vulnerable, resist evil, and protect what He has made. From the builders in Nehemiah’s day who worked with tools in one hand and readiness in the other, to Jesus acknowledging the reality of danger in Luke 22, the Bible presents a balanced picture of peace and responsibility.

Christ fulfills all of Scripture, not by erasing these truths but by completing them. His teachings call us to reject vengeance while still honoring the value of life. Stewardship means guarding what God entrusted to us — not in fear or anger, but in faithfulness.

This message is a call for the church to wake up, stand firm, and courageously protect what God has created.
